The Vipservice holding, leading Russian consolidator for sale of aviation and railway tickets, announces a new appointment. Aleksey Schankin, who has held the position of Chief Data Officer and then Treasurer, is appointed a Managing Director of the Subagent Business.
“Alexey has been with the company for over 20 years. During this time, he has come a long way from a Ticket Clerk to a Treasurer of the Financial Directorate. He is well aware of all professional subtleties of our business. He also perfectly knows movement of financial and information flows. Alexey's defense of his MBA diploma in October this year became the final stage of his professional development as a profile manager of the most important business of the holding,” says Irina Solovieva, CEO of the holding.
In his turn, Schankin comments on his appointment: “I am taking this post at a time when the business model has been changing, followed by a revival of the industry after the pandemic. Uncertainty of the situation is raising and setting new requirements for working with colleagues and counterparties. Perhaps, it may be a threat, I consider it an interesting and promising chance that is supposed to be taken though."
