According to the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, over the past 2 months, the domestic transportation have increased by 11% and have amounted to 10.4 million passengers for the period. According to the forecasts, this figure continues to grow, especially since the domestic carriers are included in the state program for subsidizing the flights for the certain groups of citizens, and this contributes to the additional development of certain areas.

As for the general situation, now airlines are developing and offering new promotions for the spring-summer period. We've rounded up the latest news from the past week.


Many flights abroad from Sochi

Aeroflot has launched a large-scale program of regular flights from Sochi. The Rossiya Airlines flies to 17 destinations - to Armenia (Yerevan), Egypt (Cairo), Israel (Tel Aviv), Kazakhstan (Aktau, Aktobe, Almaty, Aty-Rau, Nur-Sultan), Turkey (Antalya, Bodrum , Dalaman, Istanbul) and Uzbekistan (Bukhara, Sarakand, Tashkent, Urgench, Fergana). All flights are operated by Superjet 100 aircraft. The tickets are already on sale, the flights start from April 7th.

Flights to India

India has lifted all restrictions on international flights. Now Air India flies from Moscow to Delhi twice a week. The plans are to increase the frequency of flights to 7 per week.

Flights to Kyrgyzstan with Nordwind

Nordwind launches many flights to Kyrgyzstan from Russian cities. To Osh - from Ufa, Tyumen, Omsk, Kemerovo, Krasnoyarsk, Perm, Astrakhan. To Bishkek - from Kazan, Tyumen, Samara. To Tamchy (Issyk-Kul) - from Moscow.

Turkey and Armenia with Red Wings

The Red Wings Airlines launch international flights to Armenia (from Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Chelyabinsk, Yekaterinburg, Sochi to Yerevan) and Turkey (from Moscow to Istanbul and Antalya, from Yekaterinburg to Istanbul and Antalya, from Makhachkala to Istanbul, from Kazan to Antalya, from Samara to Antalya). The carrier emphasizes that flights are carried out on SSJ100 liners. “The SSJ100 aircraft in the Red Wings fleet are owned by Russian leasing companies, registered in the Aviation Register of the Russian Federation, insured and reinsured by Russian insurance companies – this allows the airline to fulfill its obligations to all passengers on international flights,” the airline’s website says.
