“Corporate” Temperature Measurement

Employees of the central office of the Vipservice Holding annually take part in an employee survey to assess level of satisfaction with important aspects of work for the company: working conditions, benefits, corporate communication organization and relations both at a team and with a direct supervisor. It serves to find out psychological climate at a team and an emotional state of vertical and horizontal relations. It lets us feel team mood and identify weaknesses, concerning justification of load and its correspondence to benefits. Concerning Personnel Department, it is a crucial and efficient means of measuring corporate “temperature”.       

This year is not an exception to conduct such a survey. “Honestly saying, we did have a temptation not to hold a poll this year”, admits Irina Solovieva, CEO of the Holding. “Psychological connection between a company and an employee in the time of pandemic is actually being proved with a “fight”. Reflexion helped us realize that there had been many fights so far. We had to fight market difficulties and threats. It’s high time we talk to people who have helped us keep our heads above water during this perfect storm”. “The peculiarity of the survey was a set of 22 questions that would reflect all the most difficult and sensitive issues. They included working hours, salary optimization, working conditions during pandemic, sanitary measures and restrictions, expectations about future and dynamics of attitude towards company after making tough decisions”, says Pavel Razin, Personnel Director of the Holding.

We need to ask main things immediately and directly. That is why the first question we ask responders after social demographic targeting is: “Do you believe that Management did its best in the time of pandemic and quarantine for employees?”.

36 percent respond “Yes, absolutely”. 38% - rather yes. In total, it is 74% of our staff, who have appreciated endeavors of our Top Management team of the Holding in business and team continuity and support.

There is no doubt that “its best” includes many aspects: preservation of jobs, distant work organization, load and salary optimization and slowdown in expenditure because of additional economy measures. However, seventy percent of our staff fully accept and support the measures. Ninety-seven percent of respondents approve preservation of Voluntary Medical Insurance despite the economy measures. Seventy percent of respondents consider salary optimization measures justifiable in the current situation. Prompt implementation of piece-rate work allows preserving our team and increasing salary level in accordance with market rally.    

One more important survey aspect is to find out attitude of employees towards sanitary labor safety regulations. Ninety-three percent support masks and gloves supply, ninety-two percent approve desinfectors implementation and hand antiseptic supply, ninety-one percent support daily temperature measure upon entering an office at the beginning of a working day, eighty-nine percent – monthly complete office UV-sterilization and ninety-two percent approve employees screening every two weeks. People realize that the company takes care not only about its own survival, but also about health of its staff. Staff members are ready to support it. Forty-seven percent of employees respond that they will follow all the prescribed measures that the employer is subject to implement. Twenty percent are ready to fulfill all initiatives needed.       

We ask our employees for sure about their plans for future: seventy-six percent of staff respond that they will continue to work for the company. Sixty-seven percent at the same time admit that their attitude towards the company has not change during the year.
